If you’re a fan of horseback riding, then you’ll love the equestrian center at Castle Leslie Estate. They offer riding lessons, trail rides, and even fox hunting experiences. The horses are well-trained and the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. I went on a one-hour trail ride through the estate’s lush forests, and it was truly a serene and peaceful experience.

2. Falconry: Ashford Castle

Falconry is a unique activity that you can only experience in a few places in the world, and Ashford Castle is one of them. The castle has its own falconry school where you can learn about these majestic birds

1. Horseback Riding – One of the best ways to explore the beautiful countryside of Ireland is on horseback. One of my favorite horseback riding tours was at the Ashford Castle, which took me through the magnificent Connemara region.

2. Falconry – Falconry is a unique and exciting activity that gives you the opportunity to interact with birds of prey up close. Many castle hotels offer falconry experiences where you can watch a skilled handler work with falcons, owls, and other birds of prey. I highly recommend the falconry experience at the Dromoland Castle, where you get to fly the birds yourself.
