Walking towards the building, you can’t help but feel small and insignificant, as it towers over you at a height of 828 meters. The exterior of the building is truly awe-inspiring, with its sleek design and shimmering glass, it’s hard not to stop and stare.
Once inside, you’re greeted with a beautiful lobby, complete with a stunning fountain that dances to the beat of music. The elevator ride up to the observation deck is also a unique experience in itself, as it’s one of the fastest elevators in the world, taking you up 124 floors in just 60 seconds.
Arriving at the observation deck, the views of Dubai from above are breathtaking. You can see all the iconic landmarks, including the Palm Jumeirah and the world-famous Dubai Mall. My Personal Experience:
As a travel blogger with a passion for architecture, I have had the opportunity to explore some of the most famous and historic skyscrapers in different cities around the world. One of my personal favorites is the Empire State Building in New York City.
Standing at 102 stories tall, the Empire State Building was completed in 1931 and was designed by William F. Lamb of the architectural firm Shreve, Lamb and Harmon. The building was considered a technological marvel of its time, as it was the first building to have over 100 floors and was built in just over a year.
When I visited the Empire State Building, I was immediately struck by its Art Deco style, which was popular in the 1920s and 1930s. The building’s exterior is made of limestone, granite, and aluminum, with intricate details carved into the stone.
As I made my way inside, I was greeted by the grand lobby, which features marble floors, Art Deco murals, and a stunning ceiling mural by artist William Zorach. I then took the elevator up to the observatory on the 86th floor, which offers breathtaking views of the entire city. On a clear day, you can see for miles in every direction.
One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to visit the Empire State Building’s 102nd-floor observatory, which is not open to the public. From this vantage point, I had a 360-degree view of the city, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Overall, my visit to the Empire State Building was an unforgettable experience. It is truly an iconic skyscraper that has become a symbol of New York City and a must-see for anyone visiting the city for the first time.
